Note: Prior to March 1st, 2010 SR Research provided a Microsoft Sidewinder USB gamepad for use with the EyeLink II and EyeLink 1000 Host PCs. Unfortunately our stock of these gamepads has run out and they are not manufactured anymore, so we are no longer able to supply them with EyeLink systems as of March 1st, 2010.
Given this, as well as the fact that in many setups the gamepad was not needed or used, we have decided not to include a Host PC gamepad with the EyeLink II or EyeLink 1000 core systems anymore and instead offer different options as accessories to the base systems.

To provide the best timing support for the new response boxes, we are currently offering several parallel port response box options. These response boxes will work with any EyeLink system that has a free parallel port on the Host computer.
All Host PC parallel port button boxes offer msec accurate timestamp recording of button presses, with the parallel port being polled at a consistent 4 times a msec.

One of the nice features of these response boxes is that the buttons can be illuminated by the experimental software, providing another form of user feedback.
