EDF files can be converted to ASCII through the a command line or GUI-based version of the EyeLink EDF2ASC application.

Windows:

• The command line edf2asc.exe program is provided with the lastest version of the EyeLink Developers Kit
  
• The GUI-based EDF Converter application (Visual EDF2ASC) is provided with the lastest version of Data Viewer. Once installed it can be open through:
  • Start Menu -> SR Research -> EDF Converter (Visual EDF2ASC)
    
• Alternatively, we also provide a standalone installer for the GUI-based EDF Converter application:
  • EDF Converter v5.1.607
    

macOS:

• Both the command line edf2asc and the GUI-based EDFConverter application are provided with the latest version of the EyeLink Developers Kit. The EDFConverter application will be installed at:
  • /Applications/EyeLink/EDFConverter.app/
• Alternatively, we also provide a standalone installer for the GUI-based EDFConverter application:
  • EDF Converter v5.1.607
    

Linux: 

• Both the command line edf2asc and the GUI-based Visual EDF2ASC application are provided with the latest version of the EyeLink Developers Kit (eyelink-display-software package), see the Linux Installation Guide for more details.
  

DOS:
For our legacy DOS users, we also provide a standalone command line edf2asc.exe program for download:
