Legacy Host Software for EyeLink 1000 Plus v5.16

The host software on this page is for legacy users who do not wish to update to 5.50 or above. This is the final release of the legacy host software for the Eyelink 1000 Plus. If you are currently running version 5.50 or higher and wish to downgrade please contact support@sr-research.com for instructions.
For legacy Desktop (including Remote setup), LCD Arm, Tower, Primate, or Long Range mounts with a Standard camera or Fiber Optic camera. Includes support for cameras with 2000 Hz option.
Installation Instructions
To update the EyeLink 1000 Plus Host Software please choose one of the two options below:
Note: For all update options, your INI file settings, including any physical settings (e.g., eye-to-screen distances, size of the monitor) will be preserved. The update will not require you to reset customized settings in these files. Nonetheless, it is often a good idea to double-check these settings from the File Manager by:

Installation Instructions
To update the EyeLink 1000 Plus Host Software please choose one of the two options below:
- Option 1: If you have a Display PC connected to the Host PC then the easiest way to update the software is on the Display PC side. Please follow the instructions below:
- Download the file above called "elcl-5.16.zip" that is attached to this post. Do not unzip it. If your Display PC is not connected to the internet then download the file on another computer, save it on a USB memory device, and use the USB memory device to copy the file to the Display PC.
- Start up the Host PC. From the Host PC Application, press Ctrl-Alt-Q to exit the Host PC to the File Manager.
Then, from your Display PC open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.). Type http://100.1.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. This should allow you access to the Host PC's File Manager through your Display PC's browser.
- From your browser window on the Display PC that is showing the File Manager, click on the Configuration icon on the File Manager toolbar, and then select "System Update". Now choose the "Update" tab and click on the "Choose Files" button to locate the "elcl-5.16.zip" file and then click "Update".
- Wait until the host software is updated - please be patient as this process may take a few minutes to complete.
- Download the file above called "elcl-5.16.zip" that is attached to this post. Do not unzip it. If your Display PC is not connected to the internet then download the file on another computer, save it on a USB memory device, and use the USB memory device to copy the file to the Display PC.
- Option 2: If you are using a stand-alone Host PC (i.e., your Host PC is not connected to a Display PC), and your Host PC is using a version of the software earlier than 5.09:
- Please follow the instructions in the attached document, called StandAloneHostUpdateInstructions.pdf. If you are not using a stand-alone Host PC, then please follow the steps in Option 1 above -- the instructions in StandAloneHostUpdateInstructions.pdf will work fine, but the process is simpler if following Option 1 above.

- Please follow the instructions in the attached document, called StandAloneHostUpdateInstructions.pdf. If you are not using a stand-alone Host PC, then please follow the steps in Option 1 above -- the instructions in StandAloneHostUpdateInstructions.pdf will work fine, but the process is simpler if following Option 1 above.
