FAQ: Why are there multiple DISPLAY SCREENS overlaid with one another in my experiment?
#1
Experiment Builder's transparency settings allow screen resources to interact in complex ways. However, if configured incorrectly, they can cause visual artifacts, including:
  • Objects from a previous screen appearing on the current screen.
  • Parts of solid objects appearing see-through.
  • White dots or missing pixels on images.
These issues occur when the project's Transparency Color property is the same as the background color of your DISPLAY_SCREEN nodes. The solution is to set the Transparency Color to a value that is very close to, but not exactly the same as, your background.

For Example, if your DISPLAY_SCREEN nodes use a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), you should set the project's Transparency Color to a near-white color, such as RGB 254, 254, 254.

How to Change the Transparency Color
  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Navigate to the Devices -> Display section.
  3. Find the Transparency Color setting.
  4. Click on the color swatch box to open the color picker or enter the desired RGB value.
