Experiment Builder can automatically create Interest Areas (IAs) around words in a text stimulus at runtime. This feature saves you from having to manually draw an IA for each word.
How to Enable Automatic IAs
Select a Text Resource or Multi-line Text Resource in your project.
In the Properties panel, find and check the box for Use Runtime Word Segment Interest Area. (This is typically the last property in the list).
How to Customize the Behavior
By default, this feature creates an IA around each individual word, using spaces as the boundaries. If you need to change this behavior (for example, to segment by different characters or group multiple words into a single IA), you can adjust the project-wide settings.
Navigate to: Edit -> Preferences -> Built-in Interest Area Preference -> WORD_SEGMENT
Most issues with word segmentation can be resolved by adjusting the settings in this menu.
