FAQ: What does "Error:2032 Value parameter contains no initial value…" mean?

This error occurs when a Variable node does not have an initial value specified. An initial value is necessary to set the type of the variable (e.g. integer, string, double, etc...). Double-clicking on the error message in the Output tab will highlight the empty variable so that a default value can be entered.

Any value can be used to initialize a variable, provided it is of the required type. This value will be returned and stored in the EDF file as the variable value unless it is updated elsewhere in the experiment.
