Transferring experiments between Windows and macOS is straightforward, but there are a few important configuration details to check after the move.
How to Transfer Your Project
Important Considerations
Before deploying on the new computer, verify the following:
How to Transfer Your Project
- Package: On the original computer, go to File > Package. This creates a single .ebz file containing your entire project.
- Transfer: Move the .ebz file to the new computer (e.g., via USB drive, network, or email).
- Unpackage: On the new computer, double-click the .ebz file (or open Experiment Builder and select File > Unpackage) to import the project.
Important Considerations
Before deploying on the new computer, verify the following:
- Display Settings: Ensure the new Display PC supports the experiment's required screen resolution and refresh rate.
- Audio Drivers (Mac to Windows): When moving from macOS to Windows, the audio driver defaults to DirectX. If your experiment requires precise audio timing, we strongly recommend:
- Using a Windows PC with an ASIO-compatible sound card.
- Changing the project's Audio Driver setting to ASIO.
- Using a Windows PC with an ASIO-compatible sound card.
