FAQ: Should I track binocularly or monocularly?
#1
Binocular data is important / required if you are studying vergence or ocular disparity. Similarly, many of the algorithms employed to detect microsaccades are optimized for binocular data. However, for most users recording binocular data is optional. Typically, if you are mainly interested in recording gaze position then you only need to record from one eye.
