FAQ: *The Corneal Reflection keeps jumping, what is going wrong?

This issue can occur if there are multiple (potential) corneal reflections present within the camera image, or if the image thresholds are set improperly. Please take the following steps to ensure this issue does not occur: 

• Check that there are no other sources of infrared light (i.e. security camera, sunlit windows, etc...) in front of the participant. 
  
• If using a hot mirror to track the participant's eye, please ensure that it is a first / front surface mirror, as standard mirrors can return multiple IR reflections. 
  
• If the participant is wearing glasses, adjust the Search Limits so that any reflections from the glasses frames are excluded. 
  
• If there are no extra sources of IR light, ensure that the camera image is properly thresholded.
