Mouse Simulation mode is a feature that allows you to use the Host PC's mouse to simulate a participant's eye movements. It's particularly useful for testing and debugging gaze-contingent experiments without needing an actual participant. Note: Mouse Simulation mode is not available on the EyeLink Portable Duo.

Enabling and Calibrating Mouse Simulation
- Enable the Mode
On the Host PC, navigate to the Set Options screen and click the Mouse Simulation button to enable it.

To ensure the mouse movements map correctly to the display, you need to perform a one-time calibration.- Start the calibration process as you normally would. The mouse cursor will automatically jump to the first target.
- Click the mouse on the target.
- Press the Enter or Spacebar to accept the "fixation."
- Repeat this process for all subsequent targets. If "Auto Trigger" is enabled, the next target will appear automatically after you click; if not, you'll need to press Enter or Spacebar after each click.
- Once all targets are complete, click Accept to finish the calibration.
