Listen to WAV file and Type Response

This example illustrates:
  • How to use Audio node and a Conditional node to check if audio finishes playing
  • How to collect multiple Keyboard triggers and updating text on Display Screen (see TextEntry_SEQ)
  • How to use Result File to save trial Variables to a TXT file
Description:

The participant listens to a WAV file and is then prompted to type the sentence they heard in the preceding clip. Text is displayed on the Display PC screen as the participant types their response. The participant presses the [ENTER] key to end the trial after they finish typing their response.

**Additional detailed information about the project is given in the notes section for most nodes. To see notes for a given node, either mouse over that node or click on it to display the notes window. If the notes window is not visible, go to the "View" drop down menu in Experiment Builder, select "Properties", and check "Note".

Instructions:
  1. Download the Listen_and_type_response.ebz example from this message.
  2. Launch the Experiment Builder application.
  3. Unpack the Listen_and_type_response.ebz file to a location on your Experiment Builder PC with "File menu -> Unpack".
  4. Open the project in Experiment Builder.
  5. Deploy the project to a new folder.
  6. Run the Listen_and_type_response.exe from the deployed directory.
