EyeLink Cable Fault
Do not be concerned if the "Cable Fault" message appears briefly in the top right corner of the EyeLink Host PC screen when the system starts up. The EyeLink system takes a moment to initiate and verify the connection with the Display PC.
If the “Cable Fault” message persists, this means that the EyeLink Host PC cannot detect a connection to the Display PC.
Please check that the blue ethernet cable is plugged into the correct ethernet port on the Host PC and that the other end is connected directly to the ethernet port on the Display PC. In general, this should be a direct connection and not going through a router, hub, or other networking devices. Please also make sure that the IP address / network settings are configured correctly:
