* This FAQ only applies to the EyeLink 1000 systems *
This error typically occurs when the EyeLink 1000 Camera cannot be detected either due to a power issue or cabling issue. Please check that the power cable is firmly attached to the EyeLink camera and that the LED on the power adapter is illuminated. With a long-range system, please also ensure that the power connection to the fiber optic camera head is attached securely at both ends, and if using the battery option that the battery is charged.
Similarly, check that the camera link data cable is firmly connected at both ends (to the frame grabber card and to the camera itself). Remove the cable and try re-attaching the cable to both the camera and the frame grabber card securely and using the thumbscrews to fasten the connection to ensure a firm connection.
After completing the steps above restart the host to see if it resolves the issue. If not, the issue may be that the EyeLink 1000 frame grabber card is not fully seated in the card slot. Try removing the card and plugging it back to the same slot or a different one. Make sure to unplug the computer power from the wall first.
If the problem persists, please send the eye.log files that are located on the C:\ELCL\EXE directory of the Host PC to support@sr-research.com for additional support.
