  • How to implement text entry with multiple Keyboard responses
Description:

This example implements the Operation Span Paradigm based on the following article:
  • Conway, A. R. A., & Engle, R. W. (1996). Individual differences in working memory capacity: More evidence for a general capacity theory. Memory. 4, 577-590.
In this task, the participant sees a few lists consisting of 2 to 6 items. Each stimulus consists of a short math problem and a word. Each math-word combination will appear for 5 seconds. The participant needs to decide whether the math problem is correctly solved or not, and say the word aloud. At the end of each list, the participant will be prompted to write the words from the list in order.

Instructions:
  1. Download the OperationSpan.ebz example from this message.
  2. Launch the Experiment Builder application.
  3. Unpack the OperationSpan.ebz file to a location on your Experiment Builder PC with "File menu -> Unpack".
  4. Open the project in Experiment Builder.
  5. Deploy the project to a new folder.
  6. Run the OperationSpan.exe from the deployed directory.
