This example illustrates:
  • How to use Record Sound and Record Sound Control nodes to record and control audio
  • How to use Result File and Add to Result File nodes to save results in text file
  • How to use Conditional nodes to check for trial performance
Description:

The project is implemented based on Experiment 2 described in the following paper:
  • Lukatela, G. and Turvey, M. T. (1994). Visual Lexical Access Is Initially Phonological: 1. Evidence from Associative Priming by Words, Homophones, and Pseudohomophones. Journal of Experimental Psychology: General, 123(2), 107-128.
There are totally 6 blocks of experiment, 1 practice block with 36 trials and each of the remaining 5 blocks with 24 trials. There are 3 groups of participants and a given participant never encountered a given word more than once. Each participant gives a total of 120 auditory responses recorded with WAV sound files together with the RESULTS_FILE.txt. The event timing can be checked in the recorded messages.txt file.

**Additional detailed information about the project is given in the notes section for most nodes. To see notes for a given node, either mouse over that node or click on it to display the notes window. If the notes window is not visible, go to the "View" drop down menu in Experiment Builder, select "Properties", and check "Note".
