Programming EyeLink Experiments Using Psychtoolbox for Matlab

The webinar will discuss how to use Psychtoolbox for Matlab to Interface with the Host PC / EyeLink System. The topics covered will include:
  • General Intro of EyeLink and Psychtoolbox
  • Simple Matlab Example Walkthrough (EyeLinkPicture.m)
    • How to Sending Messages to Mark Experimental Events
    • An Example of Steps Required for an EyeLink Matlab Script
  • Two Different Ways of Grabbing Eye Data for Gaze Contingent Studies
    • Newest Sample Technique (EyeLinkFixationWindow.m)
    • Buffered Data Technique (change.m)
  • Using Custom Calibration / Validation Targets (EyelinkBasic.m)
The webinar will discuss how to send messages to make the eye tracking data file compatible with Data Viewer, so having some basic experience of working with Data Viewer may help in understanding the topics discussed, but it is not required (if you don't plan to use Data Viewer, the ideas discussed will still apply, too).
