FAQ: Does Experiment Builder support image transparency?
#1
Experiment Builder supports image files that have transparent areas (an alpha channel), but this feature must be enabled manually for each image.

By default, Experiment Builder ignores an image's alpha channel. This causes any transparent parts of the image to appear as a solid black area when you run your experiment.

To correctly display an image that contains alpha channels, you must change two properties for that specific image resource:
  • Navigate to the image in your project's Resources library.
  • In its properties, find the Use Color Key option and set it to False (uncheck the box).
  • Ensure that the Ignore Alpha property is also False (unchecked).

The steps above are for fixing the "black box" issue. If you are experiencing different visual problems, such as screens incorrectly overlaid on top of each other or seeing white pixels around your image, please see the support article on using the FAQ on using the Color Key and Transparent Color properties.
