Legacy Host Software for EyeLink Portable Duo and Portable Remote v 6.12

The host software on this page is for legacy users who do not wish to update to 6.50 or above. This is the final release of the legacy host software for the Eyelink Portable Duo. If you are currently running version 6.50 or higher and wish to downgrade to 6.12 please contact support@sr-research.com for instructions.
Users who have received one of these systems before April 2017 are likely to have Host PC software version 6.10 AND a camera serial number beginning with CAB** If your system matches these criteria, please contact support@sr-research.com for more details on updating your system to the current release. A supplementary one-time procedure is required.

Note: For all update options, your INI file settings, including any physical settings (e.g., eye-to-screen distances, size of monitor) will be preserved -- the update will not require you to reset them. Nonetheless, it is often a good idea to double-check these settings from the File Manager by:

Installation Instructions
To update the Portable Duo or Portable Remote Host software, please choose one of the two options below:
- Option 1: If you have a Display PC connected to the Host PC then the easiest way to update the software is on the Display PC side. Please follow the instructions below:
- Download the file called "elusb-6.12-18-02-01-PortableDUO.duo" that is attached to this post. If your Display PC is not connected to the internet then download the file on another computer, save the .duo file on a USB memory device, and use the USB memory device to copy the file to the Display PC.
- Start up the Host PC. From the Host PC Application, press Ctrl-Alt-Q to exit the Host PC to the File Manager.
- Then, from your Display PC open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.). Type http://100.1.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. This should allow you access to the Host PC's File Manager through your Display PC's browser.
- From your browser window on the Display PC that is showing the File Manager, click on the Configuration icon on the File Manager toolbar, and then select "System Update". Now choose the "Update" tab and click on the "Choose Files" button to locate the "elusb-6.12-18-02-01-PortableDUO.duo" file and then click "Update".
- Wait until the host software is updated - please be patient as this process may take a few minutes to complete.
- Download the file called "elusb-6.12-18-02-01-PortableDUO.duo" that is attached to this post. If your Display PC is not connected to the internet then download the file on another computer, save the .duo file on a USB memory device, and use the USB memory device to copy the file to the Display PC.
- Option 2: If you are using a stand-alone Host PC (i.e., your Host PC is not connected to a Display PC):
Please follow the instructions in the pdf attached below. If you are not using a stand-alone Host PC, then please follow the steps in Option 1 above -- the instructions below will work fine, but the process is simpler if following Option 1 above.
