Page Turning Task

Required Experiment Builder Version: 2.5.90 or higher
EyeLink Required: Yes
Type: Complete Example
Difficulty Level: Moderate

This example illustrates:
  • How to use a 'dummy' Blocking Sequence to recycle a trial sequence to move forward / backward through data source rows containing pages of text
  • How to use Conditional nodes to check and update the current trial number to navigate to the required page number
Description:

In this example, participants are shown pages of text. They can press an arrow key (left or right arrow) after reading each page to move to the next page. When not at the first page, a leftward arrow press goes back a page. A rightward arrow press moves forward a page. This example runs through 4 pages and a right arrow keypress on the fourth and final page ends the task.

NOTE: Please see our Implementing Text / Reading Experiments in Experiment Builder Webinar for more details of displaying text and creating Interest Areas for reading experiments.
