FAQ: How can I share an experiment with colleagues or back it up?
#1
To easily share an experiment with colleagues or create a backup, you can package the entire project into a single .ebz file.
  • Package: In Experiment Builder, go to File -> Package. This creates a single, portable .ebz file.
  • Transfer & Unpack: Move the .ebz file to the new computer. Go to File -> Unpack to restore the project on the new machine.
  • Verify: Test run the project on the new PC to verify that all the setting work for that PC and that the task runs as expected.
  • Deploy: Deploy the project locally on the new Display PC. This ensures the experiment is optimized for the new hardware and software environment.
Note: We strongly advise against sharing project folders that have already been deployed. Always transfer the packaged .ebz file instead.

Cross-Platform Sharing: If you are sharing experiments between different operating systems (e.g., Windows and macOS), additional considerations may apply. Please refer to If I program my Experiment in Windows, will it work with macOS or vice versa? for more details.
