To easily share an experiment with colleagues or create a backup, you can package the entire project into a single .ebz file.
If you are sharing experiments between colleagues who use different operating systems (e.g., Windows and macOS), please be aware that there may be additional considerations. Please see If I program my Experiment in Windows, will it work with macOS or vice versa? for more details.
- Package the Project: In Experiment Builder, go to File -> Package. This will create a single, portable .ebz file.
- Transfer and Unpack: Move the .ebz file to the new computer. We recommend that you unpackage the project (File -> Unpackage) and then deploy it locally on the new Display PC.
- Verify Compatibility: Deploying the project fresh on the new machine allows you to verify that everything runs smoothly and ensures full compatibility with the new hardware and software environment.
For this reason, we recommend against sharing already-deployed project folders between computers. Always transfer the packaged .ebz file instead.
