FAQ: How can I add / edit my Trial Variables after my data collection has finished?

You can create new Trial Variables in Data Viewer to add information to your trials, such as annotations, participant responses, or data from other sources.

1. Create the New Variable
   
   1. From the main menu, go to Analysis > Trial Variable Value Manager.
      
   2. Create your new Trial Variable. You can optionally provide a default value that will be applied to all trials.
         
      
   
   
2. Populate the Variable with Data
   Once the variable is created, you need to add the specific values for each trial.
   
   1. Go to Analysis > Trial Variable Value Editor to open the data grid.
         
      
   2. You can now populate the values in two ways:
      • Manual Entry: Click on a cell and type the value directly.
        
      • Copy & Paste: Copy a column of values from a spreadsheet (like Excel) and paste it into the variable's column in the editor.
