FAQ: How can I resize and / or move a rectangular or elliptical Interest Area?
#1
You can easily move, resize, and modify Interest Areas (IAs) in several ways.

Direct Manipulation (Using the ALT/Option Key)
You can quickly resize or move an IA using a keyboard modifier.
  • To Resize an IA:
    • Select the IA.
    • Hold down the ALT (on Windows) or Option (on Mac) key.
    • Move your cursor over an edge or corner until it becomes a double-sided arrow, then click and drag to resize.
  • To Move an IA:
    • Select the IA.
    • Hold down the ALT / Option key.
    • Move your cursor inside the IA, then click and drag to reposition it.
Advanced Actions (Right-Click Menu)
For more options, select an IA, right-click on it, and choose IA Shape Actions. This menu allows you to:
  • Resize Edges: Enlarge or shrink an edge by a specific number of pixels.
  • Resize by %: Scale the entire IA by a percentage.
  • Rotate or Flip the IA.
  • Convert the IA to a different shape (e.g., from a rectangle to an ellipse).
Precise Adjustments (Inspector Panel)
For exact positioning, you can directly edit an IA's pixel coordinates. Select the IA, and in the lower panel of the Inspector > Data tab, you can manually enter the numerical values for its left, right, top, and bottom boundaries.
