FAQ: I can't open Data Viewer on macOS
#1
By default, macOS has a security feature that may prevent you from opening programs downloaded directly from the internet. If you're having trouble running Data Viewer or Experiment Builder, you'll need to adjust your security settings and install a required driver.
  1. Adjust Security Settings to Run the App
Modern versions of macOS require you to manually approve applications that are not from the App Store.
    1. First, try to open the application by double-clicking it. You will likely see an error message saying it cannot be opened. This is normal.
    2. Open System Settings (previously System Preferences).
    3. Go to Privacy & Security.
    4. Scroll down to the "Security" section. You should see a message saying the application "was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer."
    5. Click the Open Anyway button next to this message. You may need to enter your password to confirm.
The application should now open and will be trusted by your Mac for future use.

  2. Install the HASP License Key Driver
Both Data Viewer and Experiment Builder require a driver for the USB license key to function correctly. This driver is included with your download.
    1. Open the Data Viewer DMG file.
    2. Inside, locate and open the Hasp folder.
    3. Find and double-click the installer, named Sentinel_HASP_RTE_Installer.dmg.
    4. Run the Install HASP SRM Runtime Environment package to complete the installation.
