FAQ: How can I take a screenshot on the Host PC monitor?
#1
To take a screenshot of the Host PC Monitor, press ALT+F7 on the Host PC keyboard.

For EyeLink 1000 and EyeLink II:
  • The screenshots can be accessed by booting the Host PC into the Windows partition and going to My Computer and the EyeLink Drive (usually the D:\ or E:\ drive) within. In the EyeLink Drive, navigate to \ELCL\EXE\ (or \EYELINK2\EXE\ if you're using an EyeLink II) and the screen captures will be saved as scrn*.pcx. The files can then be transferred to a USB drive to transfer to another computer if necessary.
For EyeLink 1000 Plus and EyeLink Portable Duo:
  • The screenshots can be accessed via the File Manager by exiting the Host PC application to the File Manager (press Ctrl-Alt-Q) or on the Display PC, open any web browser, type "100.1.1.1" in the address bar and press Enter. This will bring up the File Manager to allow one to navigate the file system of the Host PC. The screen captures can be found in the /elcl/data/ directory as scrn*.jpg. These files can then be downloaded to the local browser's download directory by selecting the files and clicking the Download button in the File Manager toolbar.
