The error message "could not initialize PCI interface" typically means there is a hardware issue with the EyeLink II PCI card. The card may be loose in its motherboard slot, the slot itself may be faulty, or there could be a problem with the card.
Follow these steps in order to resolve the issue.

Follow these steps in order to resolve the issue.
- Reseat the PCI Card
First, let's ensure the card is seated correctly in its current slot.- Power off the Host PC completely.
- ⚠️ Unplug the computer's power cord from the wall outlet.
- Open the computer case and carefully remove the EyeLink PCI card from its motherboard slot.
- Firmly reinsert the card back into the same PCI slot.
- Close the case, reconnect the power, peripherals, and EyeLink Hardware.
- Restart the Host PC.
- Power off the Host PC completely.
- Try a Different PCI Slot
If the error persists, the motherboard slot itself may be faulty.- Repeat the power-off and unplug procedure from Step 1.
- Move the EyeLink PCI card to a different, empty PCI slot on the motherboard.
- Close the case, reconnect the power, peripherals, and EyeLink Hardware.
- Restart the Host PC.
- Repeat the power-off and unplug procedure from Step 1.
