If using the Desktop mount or Arm mount, the Eyelink system will include up to three lenses of different focal lengths: 35 mm, 25 mm, and 16 mm. The longer the focal length of the lens, the closer the camera view (conversely, the shorter the focal length, the wider the camera view).
If using the EyeLink 1000 Plus, the lenses should be used in the following modes:

- 35 mm: Head stabilized (monocular or binocular)
- 25 mm: Remote mode using the target sticker (monocular or binocular) -- this lens will tolerate less participant movement, but will produce lower noise data
- 16 mm: Remote mode using the target sticker (monocular or binocular) -- this lens will tolerate more participant movement, but will produce higher noise data
- 35 mm: Head stabilized, monocular
- 25 mm: Head stabilized, binocular, with the camera in the 45° angled position.
- 16 mm: Remote mode using the target sticker (monocular only)
