RSVP Paradigm

Required Experiment Builder Version: 2.3.1 or higher
EyeLink Required: Yes
Type: Complete Example
Difficulty Level: Easy

This example demonstrates:
  • how to present images and text
  • how to randomize the order of the stimuli
  • how to control / optimize the timing of the stimuli
  • how to mark the occurrence of each regular and critical event in the Eye-Tracking Data File
  • how to collect behavioral responses (e.g., key presses) during the RSVP procedure
  • how to send signals (e.g., TTL signals) to other devices (e.g., EEG systems) to mark the occurrence of critical events in the RSVP sequence
Description:

This example comes from the RSVP Paradigm and demonstrates the Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) paradigm which involves the presentation of a series of stimuli to the participant in rapid succession at a fixed position. The order of these stimuli may be randomized, and one or more of these stimuli may be critical (i.e., in some way different) when compared with the other stimuli in the set.
