Which EyeLink Eye Tracker is Right for Your Research?
Answer a few short questions about your research goals and receive a suggestion for the EyeLink system or systems that best fit your needs.
Participants
Does your research involve human participants?
MRI-MEG
Will the eye tracker be used in an MRI or MEG scanner?
EEG Integration
Do you plan to combine eye tracking with EEG?
Infants
Do you want to track the eye movements of infants?
Head Pose
Along with eye tracking metrics, do you need head position data and/or high-speed eye video?
Research Environment
Do you want to record eye movements outside a laboratory (e.g., in classrooms, clinics, etc.)?
Touchscreen
Do you want to track gaze while participants use a touchscreen and/or need a larger trackable range?
Suggestion: EyeLink Portable Duo
The EyeLink Portable Duo is the perfect choice for researchers who need an eye tracker that can be moved easily between laboraties, classrooms, clinics, and other sites. The EyeLink Portable Duo samples at up to 2000 Hz in head stabilized mode and 1000 Hz in head free-to-move mode and synchronizes with a wide range of other biometric recording devices, including EEG, TMS and fNIRs. Please contact our sales team for a detailed analysis of your eye tracking research requirements, or click the quote request button below.

Suggestion: EyeLink 3
The EyeLink 3 is a light-weight head mounted combined eye and head traker. It provides accurate and precise gaze data alongside perfectly synchronized 6 degrees of freedom head position data (x, y, z + yaw, pitch, roll)-all at up to 1000 Hz. It can also provide high-speed (up to 500 FPS) eye video data. Please contact our sales team for more information, or click the quote request button below.

Suggestion: EyeLink 1000 Plus with a Primate Mount or Desktop Mount
For research involving nonhuman primates, the EyeLink 1000 Plus with a Primate Mount or Desktop Mount would be a good choice. The EyeLink 1000 Plus and Desktop Mount have also been used by several labs to record eye movements from other animals, including dogs.
The EyeLink 1000 Plus samples at up to 2000 Hz, integrates easily with many other biometric recording devices. For a personalized analysis of your eye tracking needs, please contact our sales team, or click the quote request button below.

Suggestion: EyeLink 1000 Plus with a Long Range Mount
If the eye tracker is intended for use in an MRI scanner, then the EyeLink 1000 Plus with Long Range Mount and components would be the perfect solution. For MEG use, either the Long Range or Desktop Mount components may be more appropriate, depending on your hardware and equipment/display configuration.
The long-range components have low interference, non-ferromagnetic optimized design and are easily removed from the scanner room when not in use. The Desktop Host PC can be configured with an analog output option for synchronization. Please contact our sales team for a detailed analysis of your needs, or click the quote request button below.

Suggestion: EyeLink 1000 Plus with Arm or Desktop Mount
If your research involves infants, the EyeLink 1000 Plus with an Arm or Desktop Mount and Remote Mode upgrade would be a good choice. The system can be provided with a 940nm illuminator, for infants less than 12 months old. The Arm Mount is perfect for working with infants and toddlers, and Remote Mode allows the infant’s head to move freely, while maintaining high accuracy gaze data. Please contact our sales team for more information, or click the quote request button below.

Suggestion: EyeLink 1000 Plus with a Tower Mount / EyeLink 3
For research that requires a larger than usual trackable range, or touchscreen use, either the EyeLink 1000 Plus with a Tower Mount or the EyeLink 3 would be appropriate. The EyeLink 1000 Plus with a Tower Mount is perfect for tracking gaze while participants interact with touchscreens, as arm movements cannot obscure the camera’s view of the eyes. It is also suitable for research that requires eye movements to be tracked over large degrees of visual angle (up to 60° horizontally and 40° vertically, binocularly). The head mounted EyeLink 3 also has a large trackable range, and allows participants to interact freely with touch screens. It also provides perfectly synchronized six-degrees of freedom head position and rotation data (x, y, z + yaw, pitch, roll). Please contact our sales team for a detailed analysis of your needs, or click the quote request button below.

Recommended: EyeLink 1000 Plus with a Desktop Mount
The EyeLink 1000 Plus is an extremely versatile system, which can be synchronized with a wide range of other biometric recording devices, including EEG, TMS and fNIRs. Its camera is transferable between mounts to meet different research needs. The Desktop Mount sits below the tracked area and is perfect for traditional screen-based eye tracking. The Remote Mode camera upgrade allows for head-free-to-move eye tracking (in addition to standard head-fixed tracking) and is useful for situations in which head stabilization is not desirable, but high accuracy and resolution are still required. Suggestion: EyeLink 1000 Plus or EyeLink Portable Duo
If your research involves EEG, both the EyeLink 1000 Plus and the
EyeLink Portable Duo are excellent choices.
Both systems are easy to integrate with a wide range of biometric recording devices and offer high sampling rates
(up to 2000 Hz) in head-stabilized mode and 1000 Hz in head-free mode.
The EyeLink 1000 Plus offers the greatest versatility, with multiple mount options including Desktop, Arm, and Long Range (for MRI/MEG).
The EyeLink Portable Duo offers the same level of precision and can be easily moved between labs, classrooms, or clinics.
