A Dual-Use Eye Tracker
The EyeLink Portable Duo is a dual-use eye tracker. It supports both head-stabilized and head-free eye tracking, with distinct processing algorithms optimized for each scenario.
A Complete Eye Tracking Solution
Every EyeLink Portable Duo eye tracker kit includes the following features:
Lightweight wheeled carry-on / backpack for transporting locally – it holds all the components below as well as a laptop display computer. The kit also includes a robust hard case for storage and shipping.
The Laptop Host PC runs a unique real-time operating system that ensures temporal precision and consistency. It has a simplified and streamlined user interface. It minimizes setup time and maximizes usability and portability.
The Portable Duo Camera attaches to the Host PC via simple USB cable. It requires no other connections or power sources and operates in both head free-to-move and head stabilized modes. It records binocularly at 2000 Hz with the head stabilized and1000 Hz with the head free-to-move.
For maximum portability use a laptop display computer. The Laptop Mount fits 15″ and 17″ models. Alternatively, the Tripod Mount can be used to track gaze on standard desktop computer monitors or projection screens.
The Table Clamp Chin Cup head support quickly clamps to tables / desks and a simple chin cup stabilizes the head. Because this chin support is portable, you can easily and quickly switch testing from head free-to-move to head stabilized modes in the field.
The button box response device is millisecond accurate. It is recognized as a USB keyboard, so it can be used with any operating system or programming approach. It has large arcade-style buttons with clear caps that can be removed to place your own information beneath.

The SR Research Head Support is an extremely sturdy, high-quality chin and forehead rest. Both the chin and forehead supports can be adjusted in height independently. The chin support can also be adjusted in depth for extra comfort and better head positioning. For maximum portability, bundle the EyeLink Portable Duo with a laptop Display PC. The laptops have 144 Hz screens and are perfect for gaze-contingent research out of the lab. We also offer a range of desktop Display PCs for the most demanding video and audio stimulus delivery requirements. The monitors (up to 240Hz) have been tested and proven to have low latencies.

The EyeLink Portable Duo smoothly integrates with SR Research Experiment Builder, Data Viewer, and WebLink, as well as a wide range of popular third-party stimulus presentation software and tools including PsychoPy, E-Prime, NBS Presentation, MATLAB and Psychtoolbox, and more.
